Rick Owens

California-born designer Rick Owens rose to international attention in the early 2000s with his raw, goth-punk-inflected aesthetic and meticulous craftsmanship.

After founding his eponymous label and winning the CFDA Perry Ellis Award for Emerging Designers in 2002, Owens relocated to Paris to work for legacy house Revillon, establishing himself as a leading voice in avant-garde fashion while maintaining his signature tension between decadent tailoring and a unique take on casual American wear.
