A rare archival pair of boots from Dirk Bikkembergs' Spring-Summer 1998 collection, these tan leather ankle boots with neon green contrast ribbing exemplify the designer’s fusion of athletic utility and industrial edge.
Constructed in 100% leather, the boots feature the classic Bikkembergs square reinforced toe box and silhouette. A striking neon colored elastic band runs across the front, concealed beneath a leather flap, providing both structure and visual tension. At the back, a detachable metal ring adds a sculptural element, with engraved metal ankle fasteners attached.
These pull-on boots sit just below the ankle, balancing functionality with the radical styling that defined Bikkembergs’ output in this era.
Condition notes: these boots were originally owned by a stick shift driver who often wore them while driving and clutching; therefore, the toe box and heel area have worn down artfully over the years.
The metal eyelet on the right side has been permanently secured back into place, while the left side eyelet is slightly off angle, but still removable. Light stain on right boot heel.
