A study in contrast and materiality, this dress exemplifies the inventive spirit of Junya Watanabe’s early work under his namesake label at Comme des Garçons. Crafted from two distinct panels, with the front crafted from a reflective, silver polyester and the rear soft cotton, the piece balances experimentation with wearability, highlighting Watanabe’s early exploration of fabric, structure, and Japanese sensibilities.
The front of the dress features darts by each armhole, as well as a zipper and fastener on the right side.
