Distressed white denim from Number (N)ine’s Spring/Summer 2002 collection, The Modern Age, one of the most pivotal collections from founder Takahiro Miyashita’s early era.

Designed during the brand’s formative years, The Modern Age marked a sharp evolution in Miyashita’s aesthetic: fusing punk disaffection with clean Americana tailoring and British rock iconography. The collection referenced the late ’70s and early ‘80s, notably The Jam, The Clash, and mod-revival styling, and helped define Number (N)ine’s place in the underground fashion canon.

This particular pair features signature Miyashita-era distressing with bespoke patchwork at both knees — a common motif in SS02’s lived-in, DIY punk attitude. Additional details include a RiRi zipper fly and monogrammed pocket lining, consistent with runway and showroom pieces from the season. Constructed in off-white denim with a soft, worn-in texture and contrast stitching.

Condition notes: minor staining throughout.
