Spring-Summer 2002 Silk blend skirt from Belgian prodigy Olivier Theyskens. Crafted in a verdant, pasture-green colorway, the a-line style skirt is one of the final garments from Theyskens' original run at his namesake label.
For Spring-Summer 2002, Theyskens built the collection on a minimal foundation and layered in classic elements, including bustles and corsetry, centered on restraint rather than spectacle. Ruffles and ribbon work appeared across the collection as understated romantic accents rather than overt embellishment, and the shift read as a deliberate, successful softening of his earlier, darker aesthetic.
