Autumn–Winter 1997/98 wool slacks from Undercover. Cut from a heavy, warm wool, the trousers have a straight fit that flares slightly toward the hem. The waistband also features zippers on each side, an unmistakably punk detail that contrasts with the otherwise traditional fabric and silhouette. Panelling throughout adds a technical edge to the construction.
Shown at the Tokyo Collections where Takahashi's label was a consistent highlight, the 'Leaf' collection, as it was also called, incorporated punk and youth street culture, featuring unusual and non-traditional cuts, patterns, and silhouettes.
