Veronique Branquinho bondage style zip jacket from her Autumn-Winter 2004 collection. The jacket features structured, exaggerated shoulders and extended, flared sleeves, signature to Branquinho’s long-running emphasis on gothic-romantic tailoring and silhouettes. Double waist and neck belts add for adustable fits, and provide elements of punk and bondage to the jacket as well.
Branquinho’s Autumn-Winter 2004 collection was presented in a disused Parisian dancehall. Branquinho described the mood as “strong but elegant—and intimate,” brought to life through lean, ankle-length silhouettes, wax-coated jackets, tweedy blousons, and soft, puffed shoulders. Influenced by 1970s icons like Ali MacGraw and the brooding heroines of Victorian novels, the collection fused masculine tailoring with subtle sensuality.
